This story started as a broadcast piece for KCRW’s Greater LA and presented an opportunity to tap into the KCRW social media community’s interest in Los Angeles history. I used archival video footage from NASA archives to bring the story to life for the Instagram audience. This was paired with fresh photography of the story’s subjects who were involved with the mission fifty years prior, connecting past to present.
